BJP in UP, Haryana chalk up plan to counter narrative against farm laws

The party has alleged that the farmer agitation against these laws has been made an emotive issue for the Jaat community by a section of people to further their political ambitions.



With protesting farmer union leaders holding ‘mahapanchayats’ in Haryana, western and Rajasthan, president J P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday had held a meeting with party leaders, MPs and MLAs from these places.


In follow-up to the meeting, leaders, mostly belonging to the community in western UP and Haryana, met separately on Wednesday to chalk up further plan.
