Talking to media persons in Lucknow after paying tributes to BSP founder Kanshi Ram on his birth anniversary on Monday, Mayawati said her party has never benefited from contesting elections as part of an alliance. She said while the BSP’s votes are transferable, the same does not hold for other parties.
The BSP is fighting the upcoming assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal and Puducherry on its own and it plans to go solo in the 2022 Uttarakhand assembly election as well.
Mayawati asked her party leaders to ensure a good performance of the party in the upcoming polls in the three states and one Union Territory.
