From Australian great Ricky Ponting to CSK coach Stephen Fleming to current KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir to spin great Harbhajan Singh, quite a few names have been floating around according to several reports in the media.
Among the names doing the rounds, Gambhir, who helped India win the ODI World Cup final in 2011 alongside MS Dhoni and led KKR to twin Indian Premier League titles in 2012 and 2014 is hotly anticipated to be a good choice for the role.
The 42-year-old has been known for his outspoken attitude and serious demeanour and his former teammate Akaash Chopra feels that the India head coach job may not suit him.
