India vs Australia: I’m bowling at my best, says Pat Cummins | Cricket News

In Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins, Australia have three pacers whose numbers suggest that a similar trajectory for the rest of their careers will see them go down as greats of the game. Each one of them brings different attributes to the table and ensures there is no weak link for the opposition to exploit. Even among them, though, Cummins stands out as the biggest threat.
The 27-year-old, who is ranked No. 1 in the ICC Test rankings, has just gone from strength to strength since making his comeback in 2017 from a prolonged injury layoff after his debut back in 2011.
The Indian batsmen, particularly Cheteshwar Pujara, have again been witness to Cummins’ brilliance over the past month. Among his many qualities, his ability to hone in on a specific area in the pitch and not give away easy scoring opportunities even when bowling long spells is most impressive. It was on display in Sydney on Saturday with figures of 21.4-10-29-4.
