NEW DELHI: A terrific domestic season prior to the start of Indian Premier League has helped Yashasvi Jaiswal make his best ever start in tournament and the Rajasthan Royals opener aims to make it his best run ever at T20 cricket’s biggest stage.
Jaiswal had scored 315 runs at an average of 45 in 5 Ranji matches and also dazzled with a 213 for RoI against Madhya Pradesh in the Irani Cup in March. Carrying on with his form in the IPL, Jaiswal in the three matches so far has got 125 runs including a couple of fifties.
The 21-year-old feels that a successful run in domestic cricket has helped him make a strong start to the IPL.
“One hundred per cent, it gives me amazing (amount of) confidence of playing in different conditions and situations. I have been in different situations so many times and I have drawn confidence from it to go out there and express myself,” Jaiswal told PTI in an interview.
