Authorities Arrested 179 Dark Web vendors for Selling Illicit Goods

Recently, a collaboration of law enforcement agencies worldwide has declared the results of a coordinated operation known as DisrupTor and they have arrested several vendors and buyers of illicit goods on the Dark Web.

A total of 179 arrests expanded over six countries, and 500 kilograms of drugs were seized that includes fentanyl, oxycodone, hydrocodone, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and medicine containing addictive substances, and 64 firearms. 

Not only this but they have also seized $6.5 million in cash and cryptocurrencies. This whole operation of DisrupTor was managed by the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation along with the German Federal Criminal Police, Dutch National Police, the U.K. National Crime Agency, U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and many others.
