Covid cases are rising again and to contain the spread the government has started administering the booster dose to people above the age of 12 via both private and government vaccination centres.
For those who don’t know, to be able to get the booster or precaution dose, a 9-month gap is required from the second dose. For instance, if you’ve received your second dose on August 9, then you can only receive your booster dose after 9 months, which is May 9 onwards.
Also, once you’re eligible for a booster dose, an SMS notification will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Apart from that, the Cowin website also mentions that citizens will be required to carry their final vaccination certificate that carries details about their first and second doses.
