Delhi Capitals (DC) cruised to a 44-run over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on matchday seven of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Friday (September 25).
With this win, DC has now bagged back-to-back victories in the opening two matches of an IPL season for the first time since 2010.
Earlier in the day, CSK won the toss and welcomed DC to bat first.
Openers Shikhar Dhawan (35) and Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi an excellent start and formed a 94-run stand.
Shaw bagged a well-deserved half-century before Piyush Chawla dismissed him for 64 and Dhawan in quick successions.
Rishabh Pant (37*) and Shreyas Iyer (26) kept the scoreboard ticking with Marcus Stoinis (5*) providing the final push to help Delhi Capitals hoist 175/3.
