Bombay High Court Judge, Justice Pushpa Ganediwala, who was behind various contentious judgements pertaining to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, will not be appointed as a permanent judge, reported LiveLaw.
Justice Ganediawala is slated to continue as an additional judge for one more year, starting Saturday, 13 February.
According to LiveLaw, the Ministry of Law and Justice accepted the revised recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium to not elevate Justice Ganediawala as a permanent judge of the Bombay High Court, and to allow her to continue as additional judge.
