Rajasthan Royals’ blow-hot-and-cold season in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) resulted in them finishing on the last place in the eight-team tournament last year. While man of the tournament, Jofra Archer was the stanadout player for men in pink, the Royals unearthed a star in all-rounder Rahul Tewatia, who shined with both bat and ball for the Royals. Tewatia won at least three games for his side with his individual performance whether with the bat in hand or ball.
Otherwise, the Royals had an inconsistent season. Too many changes in the batting order, incoming of all-rounder Ben Stokes after six games of the season, and Archer getting no support from the other end in the pace department led to Royals’s downfall in the season.
While there are reports of Rajasthan Royals mulling over releasing their skipper Steve Smith, many other shuffles are expected from the Royals outfit.
