The family feud among members of the U.K.’s secretive billionaire Barclay family came closer to an end Friday, with Sir Frederick Barclay settling a nasty succession dispute with the sons of his identical twin brother, Sir David, who died in January.
David’s heirs—Alistair, Aidan, Howard and Aidan’s son Andrew Barclay, who now oversee the estimated $4 billion business empire that includes The Daily Telegraph newspaper and retailer Very—were forced to apologize to their estranged uncle Frederick in June 2020, after admitting to bugging his conversations at the family’s Ritz Hotel in London earlier that year.
