The electric mobility revolution is unfolding rapidly, with new and exciting announcements almost every day. Electric vehicle (EV) demand is expected to jump 70% in 2021 alone, and major automakers like GM have committed to all-electric fleets as soon as 2035. This swift adoption will dramatically reduce vehicle emissions, reshape future mobility and accelerate the planet’s path to net zero.
EV production is critical to achieving this transition, but it’s not enough on its own. We also have to make sure the EV charging infrastructure technology is in place to power these new vehicles. As EV charging solutions and network providers build and install more chargers, we are learning that “more chargers” is also not enough.
