Josh Duhamel Is Taking Netflix’s ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ Cancelation In Stride

This past week, Netflix pulled a plug on a series in a way that seemed above and beyond a normal cancellation. While a future season of Jupiter’s Legacy could happen “someday,” the show is for all intents and purposes, cancelled, and the cast has been released from their contracts to pursue other projects.

It’s a big deal considering reports put the budget for the series at $200 million, and viewers were quick to note that it certainly does not look like a show that cost $200 million. It’s a big swing and a huge miss for Netflix which was trying to create another R-rated superhero hit in the wake of The Boys, Invincible and its own Umbrella Academy, not to mention that HBO Max has all its DC heroes and Disney has Marvel.
