The official WWE 2K Twitter account announced a special announcement during Day 1 of WrestleMania 37 on Saturday night. Because fans have been waiting over a year to see the newest entry to the series, there’s a chance something noteworthy is on the way.
I wouldn’t expect to see a 15-minute clip of gameplay, but it seems fair to guess we’ll catch our first glimpse of the upcoming WWE 2K game on next-generation consoles.
The WWE 2K development team has its work cut out for them. The next game, which still doesn’t officially have a name, is following arguably the worst entry in the series’ history. WWE 2K20 was chock full of embarrassing bugs, dated graphics, and uninspiring gameplay.
