As summer nears, Marvel Studios’ TV machine is starting to ramp up. Loki has turned into one of our most-anticipated Disney+ shows, and the wait ahead is getting shorter. Along with the trickster god, Disney+ will be getting singing teens, and a bunch of new library titles.
June 9 marks the beginning of Marvel’s third Disney+ TV series, Loki. While one version of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) sacrificed himself for the good of the universe in Avengers: Infinity War, time travel always gets weird. The version of Loki fresh off his defeat by the Avengers in 2012 got his hands on the Tesseract and disappeared into the time stream. The series, starring Hiddleston, picks up with his capture by the TVA–the Time Variance Authority. Loki has to make up for his time crimes, working with TVA middle manager Mobius M. Mobius, played by co-star Owen Wilson.
