Nearly five years after it announced its intentions to remake the classic 1994 RPG-FPS System Shock, Nightdive Studios has finally dropped a brand-new, “feature-complete” demo of its long-awaited project, which it promises will give players “the most complete look yet of [its] opening chapter.”
This snippet of the modern update, which has been funded by a stellar Kickstarter campaign that raised $1,350,700 from 21,625 backers back in June 2016, can now be downloaded from Steam, GOG, or the Epic Game Store. Those who want to see what they’re in for have also been given a short trailer, detailing the brutal, atmospheric conditions of the newly renovated Citadel Station.
